How the SYCF operates:

The SYCF Board of Directors is an all volunteer group that has a common interest in supporting boating in the Northwest.  We work hard to raise funds through the annual SYCF oyster feed, auction, and by receipt of charitable giving.  The Board actively seeks out opportunities where we can make a difference and help programs, youth teams and individuals.  We encourage groups to complete our grant request form and solicit our help.

The SYC Foundation is an extremely efficient charity which operates with little to no overhead so nearly all funds received are passed on to grand recipients.

To smooth out funding in the future we have begun to build an endowment.  It is our feeling that through an endowment the SYCF can fund larger programs and make a more substantial contribution.

Why donations are important:

Many life lessons can be learned on the water, including self-reliance, responsibility, leadership, teamwork and preparedness.  Boating is a fun activity for youth and while enjoying the water many skills are developed that will help all through a boaters life.  We believe that helping to foster these skills and making boating more inclusive will improve the community.

How can you help?

The Foundation greatly appreciates any donations.  These donations can be earmarked for the endowment or our general fund.  We will send you at thank you note and receipt.
