“I had a fun time at both of the regattas and learned a lot.  I know that I want to compete in these two events again next year, and to get better finishes I need to improve my starts in those big competitive fleets.  Thanks again for the grant which really helped me get to the regattas.  I think the sailing and learning that I did at those regattas came with me back to Seattle and helped other kids here.  For example, I volunteered to help teach beginning Optimist sailors with one of Sail Sand Point’s learn to sail programs this summer in Kirkland after the two regattas  So your grant went to a lot of kids.”
